I am Chippewa-Cree from Rocky Boy MT. I am educated in health and involved in my culture, language, and a healthy active lifestyle. Powwow has given me a lot of opportunities to meet great people throughout Indian country.

My late father was a huge mentor throughout my life educationally, culturally as well as a powwow. He was a professor in language and anthropology at Montana state university northern. My dad graduated from Idaho state university in political science. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion.

I try and to get the youth more culturally involved in our ceremonies. I am always willing to help or assist the youth as well as inviting them to gain interest. Our language is what defines us as certain tribes. So general language is important for us as Native Americans.

I look forward to being a part of the UTTC International Powwow head staff this year.

Bobbi Lynn Frederick – Head Woman Judge

Bobbi Lynn Frederick is from the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe in Fort Thompson, South Dakota. She was raised on the Turtle Mountain Reservation in North Dakota. Bobbi has been dancing fancy shawl since she was in tiny tots, traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She has done various performances and presentations at schools, universities, and other organizations.

Bobbi received her bachelor’s degree in Indigenous and American Indian Studies with an
Emphasis in Social Welfare from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas in 2015. She is currently employed at the Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, ND working as an Art Instructor. She aspires to further her education by attaining her master’s degree in the near future. Her goal is to work in higher education in administration. Bobbi also is working with other organizations in the Turtle Mountain Community as a supporter in maintaining cultural awareness and lifestyle.

Londel Seaboy – Head Singing Judge

Londel Seaboy is an enrolled member of the Sisseton Sioux Tribe. Londel is married to Beatrice Seaboy and lives in Big Bend, South Dakota. He attended school at Sisseton Wahpeton Community College. He was a grass dancer for many years. Londel continues to travel to powwows to sing or to be head staff when he is asked. He sings with Wahpekute Drum Group.
